Tattoos on hands, fingers, and wrists fade faster than any other body part because we wash, expose, and use our hands and fingers more frequently. Their skin is unique and will react differently to the ink as a result. Also, Your hands and fingers have extremely varied skin types (fat parts, bony parts, thin and thick sections), which may cause the ink to possibly blow out and fade in a splotchy pattern. Due to differences in how the ink settles, fading will occur swiftly and unevenly.
It will be somewhat uncomfortable. The intensity of discomfort varies based on a number of variables, including the area of the body being tattooed, how well you’ve been eating and sleeping, your general pain tolerance, etc. Before your appointment, we advise getting a good night’s sleep and eating a healthy meal. The nervous system can be significantly calmed throughout your tattoo with even, relaxed breathing.
Absolutely! Although, some of our artists are available by appointment only, we usually have at least one artist available for walk ins. Simply drop by during business hours, and we should be able to assist you if you don’t have a preference for the tattoo artist who will be performing your tattoo. Walk-ins are first come, first served, so there can be a short wait depending on how busy it becomes. To find out if someone will be available when you want to stop in, we advise calling ahead on the day you want to visit. Or if you prefer to reserve a specific day, time, or artist, it is always best to schedule an appointment in advance.
No, it’s not refundable. But if you let us know about your changes at least 72 hours before your scheduled appointment, we can reschedule it. Our artists spend quite some time commuting and preparing for each appointment. We respect our staff and that is why deposits are held to compensate their personal time and transportation expense in case of a no-show situation.
To make an appointment, please view each artist’s portfolio and decide who you would like to create your tattoo. You can contact the artist of your choice directly through their Instagram, or you can fill out the contact form on each location page.
The tattoo price various based on the size, detail and complexity of the tattoo design and the tattoo artist you have chosen. Our tattoo prices are charged either by the piece or by the hour, and each individual artist rate could be different. Therefore, to have a better estimate of price, it is recommended to schedule an in-studio consultation with a Colibri tattoo artist. For smaller, simpler tattoo pieces, price quotes can also be requested by email. You must email us any reference photos you may have, the dimensions and specifics of the piece, as well as the location and artist you had in mind, in order for us to provide you with an estimate.
Yes, absolutely! We always work under the most hygienic conditions. Our instruments, equipment and accessories are sterilized and cleaned according to the latest technologies. Needles and other tattoo utensils are disposed of after a single-use.
We advise that you take the following preparations to ensure that your appointment goes as well as possible, regardless of whether you are coming in for a simple or complicated tattoo design: Please arrive for your appointment on time and in comfortable, tattoo-appropriate attire (wear something that will easily access the area being tattooed). The night before, make sure you get a good night’s sleep and eat a substantial, healthy meal 2-4 hours before your appointment. Bring water with you because you can spend a lot of time at the studio and need to stay hydrated. Do not arrive intoxicated, drunk, high, or medicated and do not drink heavily the day before your appointment (if you are intoxicated we will not tattoo you). Please also remember to bring a valid government issued ID to get tattooed.
Yes! We have a wide variety of flash tattoos for you to select.
We accept cash or credit (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, Apple Pay).
No checks.
Workout is allowed as long as the tattoo is not in contact with anything dirty, such as gym equipment or other people’s sweat. Your own sweat is okay as long as you wash immediately! If the tattoo or tattooed area feels uncomfortable or sore during your workout, you should wait a day or two before attempting to work out again.
Most tattoos heal completely in two to three weeks (sometimes less, sometimes more). It is important to avoid any water-related activities (baths, swimming or surfing in oceans or pools, hot tubs, etc.) while your body heals.
We offer tattoo aftercare products in our shop, but we also advise using coconut oil or unscented lotions to speed up the healing of your tattoos.
We have artists on board with expertise in cover-up work. Typically, a consultation is required, especially if the tattoo you’re covering is large or particularly black. A Colibri tattoo artist can create something lovely to hide any past mistakes you may have had. There are obviously some restrictions, but we can assist you in putting something on your body that you can be proud of.
Yes! We love creating custom tattoos! Call us to talk about your options if you have a certain tattoo style in mind. Our artist will work closely with you to ensure that you get your ideal Tattoo! You can find testimonials from clients who were pleased with the unique ideas and artwork we produced for them by reading our reviews.
The outcome of your tattoo depends on many factors, including how well you take care of it! After the session an artist will cover your tattoo with a transparent waterproof bandage that is called “second skin” that will protect it from bacteria and infections. We recommend keeping it on for 3-5 days (no more than that). If it collects much plasma and slips off prior to that you can replace it with a new piece after cleaning the tattoo with lukewarm water. Be careful when removing the second skin, because your tattoo is still fresh and tender. Start peeling off from the corner and slowly make your way down by pulling it diagonally. We recommend keeping the bandage for a couple more days after replacing it. It is crucial to follow these steps as the first few days is key for successful healing.
After 5 days, remove the second skin and wash it off again. Let it dry and apply a thin layer of aftercare lotion. A tattoo aftercare ointment must be water-based, unscented and free of petroleum ingredients. At our studio we have some high-quality aftercare creams for sale that you could use. Apply 2-3 times daily until it is fully healed. The full healing process usually takes around 3 weeks.
Do not take a bath because soaking a tattoo will negatively affect the healing. Quick showers are fine but make sure the water is not too hot.
Avoid workouts and excessive sweating for the entire healing process. Also, stay away from pools, lakes, saunas and beaches as it is a great risk to get infected. Lastly, the tattooing process leaves your skin sensitive to the UV rays. Therefore, exposure to the sun may dry your tattoo out and make it fade. Long term sun protection is key to keeping the lines of your tattoo smooth and defined.
After a few days, your tattoo may start to flake and become itchy. Continue to moisturize and do not pick or scratch.
If your tattoo is still red and swollen at this point, you might have an infection. Go back to your tattoo artist or see a doctor.
After a couple of weeks, the itchiness and big flakes must go away. You will notice some dead skin, but it will eventually fall off too.

What hurts for one client may not necessarily hurt for another because everyone perceives pain differently. However, in general, the following information is a good starting point for clients to identify the pain factor:
In contrast to fleshy tissue, cartilage is more painful to pierce (inner and upper ear, septum).
Because the tongue is typically pierced between the two muscles, it typically doesn’t hurt as much as other piercings.
Remember that any pain you experience will be amplified by your nerves. The most crucial thing to remember is to relax as much as you can and focus on taking deep, steady breaths; this will help to minimise any discomfort.

No, because consuming alcohol thins your blood, which means more bleeding. It can affect the visibility for your artist and impact the quality of the piercing. Similarly, marijuana increases your heart rate that makes your blood flow more intense which means excessive bleeding. We strongly recommend not to consume any of those substances prior to your piercing appointment. Finally, it is at Colibri Tattoo & Piercing’s discretion to reject a service if we suspect that you consumed alcohol or marijuana before your appointment.

Tooth gems are a versatile and stylish accessory; however, there are some considerations to keep in mind:
1. Age Restrictions: While tooth gems are generally safe, it is recommended that children under the age of 18 do not get tooth gems. This is because young children’s teeth and oral health are still developing, and it’s essential to prioritize their dental care. To get a Tooth Gem from Colibri Tattoo and Piercing you have to be 18+
2. Orthodontic Treatment: If you are currently undergoing orthodontic treatment, it is advisable to wait until the treatment is complete before getting tooth gems. This ensures that the gems won’t interfere with the progress of your orthodontic work.
3. Crowns or False Teeth: Tooth gems can only be affixed to natural teeth and are not suitable for use on crowns or false teeth. If you have dental restorations such as crowns or false teeth, tooth gems cannot be applied to them.
It’s essential to consult with a dental professional or our experienced team at Colibri Tattoo & Piercing to determine if tooth gems are the right choice for you. We can assess your unique situation and provide personalized guidance to help you achieve the dazzling smile you desire while maintaining your dental health.
